Tribis has been responsible for onshore and offshore oil and gas discoveries and production in North and South America, Russia and southern Europe, and in arranging and funding oil and gas exploration wells in North Africa, the Middle East, Europe and South East Asia.

• Mediterranean Oil & Gas plc, which was established by Tribis to develop oil and gas assets in the Mediterranean region, made and retains 100% ownership of the Ombrina Mare oil and gas discovery off the coast of Italy - which has 2P reserves of 40mmbl of oil and 8Bcf of gas
• Tribis developed an offshore gas field in Italian Adriatic Waters in joint venture with ENI
• Tribis operates the Monte Grosso deep oil prospect in joint venture with ENI, Shell and Total
• Tribis-founded Arabex Petroleum Ltd made the Rubiales onshore heavy oil discovery in Columbia
• Tribis established one of the first western ventures in Russia following the breakup of the Soviet Union as part of a joint venture which built a well rehabilitation business - now owned and operated by Lukoil - in Komi, west of the Ural Mountains
• Tribis, in joint venture with BHP Petroleum, established and funded an offshore exploration oil well in the Gulf of Oman, concession granted by the Emirate of Fujairah
• In 2015, Tribis as part of a joint venture was granted Myanmar Offshore Block M15
