Established in Perth in 1980, the Transcontinental Group grew to operate substantial diversified businesses and investments in the mining and oil and gas sectors, and operate an Australian real estate development and investment business under TRG Properties Pty Ltd.

In 2018, the company changed its name to Tribis – reflecting a new era for the privately-owned business. At the same time, the company’s real estate arm was renamed as Iris Residential.

Tribis has founded and managed a range of public and private companies over the past three decades – including more than 20 companies listed on major stock exchanges around the world.

Located both in Australia and overseas, these companies operate on an individual or joint venture basis in areas including:

• oil and gas exploration and production
• base, precious and other mineral exploration, development and mining
• medical technology, telecommunications, industrial and agribusiness
• property development and investment
• renewable energy

Tribis’ property division owned and operated Roy Weston the largest real estate franchise in Western Australia for 15 years. Under the banner of Iris Residential, Tribis has a strong and successful track record of significant quality residential and commercial property developments in Western Australia, Victoria and Queensland.
